Outsourced marketing, run
as one department, to one plan.

Strategy, paid media, SEO, the website, content and email, run by one team towards one business goal, with a named lead and one monthly report.

In most businesses, marketing is done in pieces. Social by one person, the website by another, ads by whoever has the time, each judged on its own numbers. Nobody owns the whole. Outsourced marketing puts every piece under one plan and one team, and judges all of it on what the business brings in.

Outsourced marketing is the Outsourced Marketing Team service in Growth: the plan is written in Growth, and the work is done across Innovation, Digital and Content. All of it is planned and managed from our Norwich office, with one team accountable for the result.

A name beside every task.

Each month starts with a written plan: what will be done, who will do it, and which part of the business goal it serves. Your named lead runs the plan, and the specialists in each discipline do the work, from the search campaigns to the service pages to the content filmed on site.

You see the plan before the month begins and the report after it ends. Work that is not moving the number is stopped, and the time goes where it will.

Each month

  • A written plan, agreed in advance
  • A name against every task
  • Work across every discipline
  • One report to the leadership team

What the department runs.

The whole function, scoped to the business. The plan sets out which parts yours needs this quarter, and which can wait.

  • A named lead

One senior person who runs the plan, chairs the monthly review and is your first call for anything to do with marketing.

  • The plan

Written before the work begins, with your business goal on page one, reviewed each quarter and adjusted each month.

  • Paid search and paid social

Campaigns on Google, Microsoft, Meta and LinkedIn, run to agreed targets and moved to wherever the enquiries come from.

  • SEO and the website

Pages written and built in Webflow, Shopify or Wix Studio, kept fast, and found for the searches that bring in work.

  • Content

Photography, short-form video and social posts from a half-day Content Visit on site each month, edited and ready to publish.

  • Email and CRM

Newsletters and automated emails to the people who have asked for them, with HubSpot set up so every enquiry is followed to a sale.

  • Tracking and reporting

Every enquiry traced to the channel it came from, so each part of the budget is judged on what it brings in.

  • Your people and suppliers

An in-house marketer briefed, your sales team kept in step and outside suppliers held to the same plan.

One report for the whole function.

Not one report per channel. It goes to the leadership team each month and is talked through with your named lead, with what changes next month and why.

  • EnquiriesEvery enquiry from every channel in one count, each traced to where it came from.
  • By channelChannel by channel, so paid media, search, content and email can be compared like for like.
  • LeadsThe enquiries that turned into real conversations, taken from your CRM.
  • Sales or bookingsThe orders or bookings marketing brought in during the month, whichever your business runs on.
  • What changes nextWhat is working, what is not, and what next month’s plan does about it.

The first quarter.

How the department is taken on, and how it runs once it is.

Tell us where you’re going
  1. Review.

    Weeks one to three.

We review the marketing already in place, the numbers behind it and the people involved, then write the plan.

You receive the plan, with the business goal on page one and a name against every part of it.

  2. Handover.

    Weeks four to six.

Accounts, tools and suppliers move across in order of what matters most, so nothing stops while the rest follows.

Every account stays in your name.

  3. Run.

    Month two onwards.

Each month’s work is planned in advance, done by the specialists in each discipline and reviewed with your named lead.

The monthly report goes to the leadership team.

  4. Adjust.

    Each quarter.

The plan is reviewed against the business goal. Work that is moving you towards it gets more time, and work that is not is stopped.

The scope and fee change only when you agree it in writing.

Questions about outsourced marketing.

What does outsourced marketing include?

A named lead, a written plan and the work itself: paid search and social, SEO, the website, content, email and CRM, with tracking throughout and one monthly report to the leadership team. The plan sets out which parts your business needs.

How is this different from a fractional CMO?

A fractional CMO is one senior person in your leadership meetings, setting the direction for the people you already have. Outsourced marketing is the department itself: the plan and all of the work, managed by us. Some clients start with one and move to the other.

Should we hire a marketing manager instead?

If you need one person in the office every day, perhaps. A single hire brings one set of skills, along with recruitment, employer costs and cover for holidays. An outsourced marketing department brings every discipline, under one plan, for a stated fee.

We already have a marketer. Does this still work?

Yes. They keep the work they do best and we run the rest to the same plan. Your named lead briefs them, shares the monthly plan with them and includes their work in the report.

Who do we deal with day to day?

Your named lead, who runs the plan and knows the business. The specialists doing the work join the monthly review when their part of it is on the agenda.

Do we keep our accounts and data?

Yes. Ad accounts, analytics, the website, the CRM and every file are held in your name, and we are given access to run them. If you ever move on, all of it stays with you.

How long does a handover take?

Usually four to six weeks. The accounts and work that matter most move first, so campaigns keep running while the rest follows.

Who is accountable for the work?

Your named lead. They own the plan, manage every part of the work and answer for the results in the monthly report.

How is it priced?

Every engagement has a defined scope and a stated fee, agreed in writing before any work begins. Tell us where you’re going and we’ll tell you what it would involve.
