Tenders won
on the evidence.

Marketing for contractors, architects, building services firms, engineering consultancies, building product manufacturers and plant hire firms, built around the evidence buyers ask for, with one firm per area.

Construction work is won on evidence. Before a buyer shortlists you, they check your accreditations, your record and projects like theirs.

The checks are more public than they were. Under the Procurement Act 2023, suppliers to public bodies register on the Central Digital Platform, and buyers now publish payments and performance. In England, the Building Regulations require anyone appointing a contractor to check their competence. The marketing has to put the proof where buyers look.

Built around the bid calendar.

Each month starts with a written plan built around your pipeline: the frameworks and tenders coming up, the sectors you want more of, the projects finishing and the people you need to hire. Every task has a name beside it and the work it is there to win.

You see the plan before the month begins and the report after it ends. Work that is not winning work is stopped, and the time goes where it will.

Each month

  • Run against your pipeline targets
  • Planned around bids and frameworks
  • Every project turned into evidence
  • One report to the managing director

What we run for construction.

Every service Pollard Media offers, run against your pipeline and order book. The plan sets out which parts your firm needs, whether you bid for public frameworks, work for main contractors or sell to homeowners.

  • Main and specialist contractors

Case studies, capability statements and a website that answer what a buyer checks before shortlisting you.

  • Building services and consultancies

Positioning, project pages and content for engineering and building services consultancies, written so clients understand the work behind the drawings.

  • Architects

Project pages and practice profiles that show the thinking behind the buildings, with the title “architect” used only where the ARB registration is in place.

  • Building product manufacturers

Marketing to the specifiers, contractors and merchants who choose your products, with the technical information easy to find.

  • Plant and equipment hire

Fleet pages, hire terms and availability set out for the contractors who hire from you, with operator cards and inspection records described exactly as held.

  • Tender and framework support

Case studies, photography and social value evidence ready before the bid, so the proof exists before the deadline does.

  • Project case studies

Each finished job written up with the brief, the work and the result, approved by you and, where they agree, by the client.

  • Content Visits and drone footage

Site progress filmed and photographed from a half-day each month, with aerial footage planned around the CAA’s rules and insured.

  • LinkedIn and Google Ads

Campaigns to the clients, specifiers and homeowners you want more of, reported in enquiries.

  • Recruitment

Careers pages and campaigns for the trades and engineers you need, so growth is not held back by hiring.

  • Local SEO and the website

A Google Business Profile kept up for each office, reviews answered, and project pages built to be found for searches made nearby.

  • Tracking and reporting

Calls, forms and tender enquiries traced to the channel they came from, and followed through to the work they become.

The proof, where buyers look.

Buyers in construction check before they shortlist. The checks come from procurement law, pre-qualification schemes, the Building Regulations and, for architects, the ARB. We keep the evidence current, accurate and easy to find, and you sign off every claim.

  • Procurement Act 2023Suppliers register on the Central Digital Platform to bid for public contracts, and buyers publish payments and performance. Your marketing and your published record should tell the same story.
  • Pre-qualificationSSIP, CHAS, Constructionline and the Common Assessment Standard shown as you hold them, with dates kept current.
  • Social valueFor central government contracts, social value carries at least 10% of the score. We help record and present the evidence.
  • CompetenceAnyone appointing a designer or contractor in England must check their competence. Qualifications, accreditations and project records are set out so they can.
  • The title “architect”Only those registered with the ARB may practise under it, and the RIBA Chartered Practice logo is shown only by accredited practices. The wording is checked on every page.
  • Operators and inspectionsCPCS and NPORS cards described by type, and lifting equipment shown as examined only where the LOLER thorough examination records support it.
  • Your sign-offNothing with an accreditation, a project claim or a client name goes live until you have approved it.

The first quarter.

How a firm is taken on, and how the work runs once it is.

Tell us where you’re going
  1. Review.

    Weeks one to three.

We spend time on site and in the office, review the marketing already in place and the numbers behind it, then write the plan around your pipeline.

You receive the plan, with your pipeline targets on page one and a name against every part of it.

  2. Handover.

    Weeks four to six.

Ad accounts, listings, tools and suppliers move across in order of what matters most, so nothing stops while the rest follows.

Every account stays in your name.

  3. Run.

    Month two onwards.

Each month’s work is planned around your bids, projects and hiring, done by the specialists in each discipline and reviewed with your named lead.

The monthly report goes to your managing director.

  4. Adjust.

    Each quarter.

The plan is reviewed against your pipeline and order book targets. Work that is moving you towards them gets more time, and work that is not is stopped.

The scope and fee change only when you agree it in writing.

Marketing you can hold to account.

Contractors have good reason to be wary of marketing promises. Pollard Media works to commitments written for the people who answer for the numbers. Every client gets them, set out in the client pack.

Our Mission

Questions about construction marketing.

Who do you work with in construction?

Main and specialist contractors, building services and engineering consultancies, architects, building product manufacturers and plant hire firms each get a plan written around how their buyers choose.

Do you work with architects?

Yes. Project pages, practice profiles and content show how the practice thinks as well as what it has built. Only practices registered with the ARB can use the title “architect”, and the ARB’s Architects Code asks architects to promote their services responsibly and accurately, so every page is written to that.

Do you work with plant and equipment hire firms?

Yes. Fleet and hire pages, Google Ads for the machines contractors search for, and footage from the yard and on site. Operator cards are described as held: blue CPCS or NPORS cards for competent operators, red for trained operators working towards their NVQ.

Can you help with tenders?

We do not write bids, but we make sure the evidence behind them exists: case studies, photography, social value records and a website that supports what the bid says.

Can you film our sites with a drone?

Yes. Flights are planned around the CAA’s rules and insured, and site footage is cleared with you and the principal contractor before it is used.

Do you work with firms that sell to homeowners?

Yes. Local search, reviews and project pages do much of the work there, alongside paid search for the jobs you want more of.

What does one firm per area mean?

Pollard Media acts for one business per sector in each area. Once we act for your firm, we will not take on your direct competitor nearby. We agree what that means for your firm before the work begins, and write it down. It covers all ongoing marketing work; website builds are the one exception.

Do we keep our accounts and data?

Yes. Ad accounts, analytics, Google Business Profiles, the website and every file are held in your name, and we are given access to run them. If you ever move on, all of it stays with you.

How is it priced?

Every engagement has a defined scope and a stated fee, agreed in writing before any work begins. Tell us where you’re going and we’ll tell you what it would involve.

Ready to talk about your next stage of growth?

Tell us where you’re going. We’ll tell you, candidly, whether we’re the right agency to take you there.
