Handmade frozen meals, Norfolk
The results, in numbers.
The brief
Sourced Meals makes restaurant-quality frozen meals and desserts by hand in Norfolk, with meat, cream and cheese from Norfolk farms and producers. The meals are sold through stockists across the county.
When its new directors acquired the business, Sourced was still a concept. A set of brand standards already existed, but much of the work needed to bring the brand to market was still to do: how it should look and feel, who it was for, and how to reach them.
Pollard Media was brought in to help plan and deliver that vision, and has stayed on to build the brand since.
What we did
The brand
We started from the brand standards Sourced already had and worked with the directors on the creative direction: how the brand should come across, and the audience it needed to appeal to.
The strategy
We wrote a marketing strategy that sets out how Sourced reaches that audience. It underpins everything we have done for the brand since.
The website
We designed and built the website in Wix Studio. It had two jobs: hold the detail behind every dish, and make people want to eat it.
The product pages carry the full ingredients, the locally sourced ingredients with the farm or producer behind them, nutritional information and cooking instructions. The Braised Steak & Norfolk Ale Pie, for example, names Papworth Farms in North Walsham for the beef and Panther Brewery in Norwich for the ale.
Around that detail, the site is built to be browsed. Visitors move through the range by main meals and desserts, or by beef, pork, chicken, fish, lamb and vegetarian dishes.
The photography
We photographed the range on location at The Granary in Cawston, a country home setting in Norfolk. The on-site shoot covered every one of the meals.
Content and social media
Since then we have run regular on-site content sessions and deliver the social media strategy for Sourced.
The result
Sourced Meals went from a concept to a brand on the market, with a clear creative direction, a strategy behind it, a website that names the farms and producers behind its dishes, and a library of its own food photography.
The work continues. Regular content sessions and the social media strategy keep the brand in front of the audience it was built for.
Before, and after.
The work in use.
